Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is a French luxurious perfume house founded in 1988 by the famous perfumer Jean-Francois Laporte. Today I’ll review Bois de Turquie Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier and tell you more about this unique house rooted in the French perfumery tradition of the 17th century.

Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier

Drawing inspiration from travels, the world of opera and baroque aesthetic, this brand creates refined fragrances for women and men using the finest raw materials.

Not only fragrances but also the boutique of Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier refers to the opulence of the 17th-century perfume shops. A shiny marble floor, walls covered with Cuir de Cordoue and beautiful furniture create a very special and sophisticated atmosphere.

The perfect atmosphere to discover the world of luxurious and high-quality perfumery.

Each Eau de Parfum comes in an exquisite glass bottle with a printed in gold seal and has a gilded cap adorned with a diamond-like Swarovski stone.

Each collection of the Eaux de Parfums is represented by a certain color of the stone.

All fragrances by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier are presented in red cases coated with leather grain paper, a reference to the origins of Gantier, as French glove makers (gantiers) used to perfume their gloves.

Perfume Review of Bois de Turquie Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier

This charming oriental perfume opens with a tender note of orange blossom, surrounded by juicy and radiant citrus accents of mandarin and bergamot.

After a while, when the bright opening of Bois de Turquie calms dawn, a tantalizing and deep character of this perfume reveals itself.

Jasmine in the heart of Bois de Turquie gives this fragrance its heady sweet scent that is beautifully framed by powdery accents of iris.

Meanwhile, the note of bay laurel makes the sound of this tempting floral duo a little bit spicy and more expressive.

The base of this perfume is represented by an impressive oriental accord featuring sandalwood, myrrh, incense, and patchouli notes.

Sandalwood gives Bois de Turquie its alluring creamy scent accompanied by the earthy depth of patchouli, while the note of myrrh brings the most charming balsamic sound with some sweet and lemon nuances.

The note of incense makes the sound of Bois de Turquie even more tantalizing and creates a beautiful mysterious atmosphere of this perfume.

The atmosphere that perfectly depicts the land, where the sun is hot and the wind is powerful…

Bois de Turquie Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is one of the most beautiful oriental perfumes I have ever tried.

This is the perfume, where the tenderness of flowers meets the expressiveness of wood, which in turn meets the warmth and depth of the balsamic notes.

Enveloping, memorable and endlessly beautiful, Bois de Turquie is like a sweet dream in which you travel to the mysterious distant countries.

And who knows what is waiting for you in those parts of our fascinating world?

Notes: Mandarin, Orange Blossom, Bergamot, Bay Laurel, Iris, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Incense, Patchouli.

If it were a place, it would be an exquisite old villa at the seaside.

If it were a color, it would be soft gold.

If it were one word, it would be dreamy.

It was my review of Bois de Turquie by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, and I hope you enjoyed it.
