Today I review Witch Doctor Libertine fragrance, one more intriguing scent, inspired by the forgotten knowledge.

Perfume Review of Witch Doctor Libertine Fragrance

From the first seconds, Witch Doctor perfume confirms its name. It opens with the smoky and heady scent of wormwood or Artemisia absinthium, that since ancient times is considered to be a magical plant.

Artemisia had the healing properties and at the same time, this plant was a symbol of love.

In different nations, people believed that Artemisia could protect them against evil spirits, mermaids, and witches.

The other side of Artemisia is its heady nature and exactly this plant is used in the production of absinthe, very unpredictable drink, that was loved by such great artists of the 19th-20th centuries as Paul Gauguin, Salvador Dali, Picasso, and others.

Artemisia with its strong and smoky scent could not go unnoticed by perfumes, and today this mystical plant introduces to us alluring Witch Doctor perfume by Libertine fragrance.

In Witch Doctor, the intensive beginning with wormwood or Artemisia is softened by gentle and a little dry scent of cedarwood.

Birch tar gives this perfume its unique woody-leathery aroma, that together with the leather note creates a very expressive accent. Aged patchouli essence gives its deep, earthy and a little dark scent, while benzoin absolute brings warm and balsamic sound to Witch Doctor.

Rockrose absolute gives its wonderful grassy scent with warm and sweet tones and frames all composition of this perfume.

Witch Doctor Libertine fragrance is the very interesting, tantalizing and really heady scent. Very saturated and smoky from the beginning, after a while Witch Doctor becomes softer and warmer.

In this fragrance, the leather theme is not too loud, but very beautiful and delicate. Witch Doctor Libertine fragrance is the great scent for those, who love woody, smoky and leathery perfumes.

For me, Witch Doctor really has something mystical and ancient. This perfume evokes associations with an old wooden attic, where everything is covered with the dust. But under this dust, there is a lot of interesting books, that keep many secrets…

And who knows which magic will happen in your life after revealing these secrets?

Notes: Wormwood, Texas Cedarwood, Birch Tar, Rough Leather, Aged Patchouli Essence, Benzoin Absolute, Rockrose Absolute.

If it were a place, it would be the old dusty attic.

If it were a color, it would be deep gray.

If it were one word it would be antique.

P.S. Very soon the perfume Witch Doctor by Libertine fragrance will be reformulated, because of new regulation of some ingredients. If you are interested in Witch Doctor in its original version, you still have a chance to purchase it from the Libertine fragrance website.
