Parfums Dusita is a French house of Haute Parfumerie, founded in 2015 in Paris by Pissara Umavijani. Currently, the collection of this perfume house consists of 7 wonderful and expressive perfumes (including Extraits de Parfum), which already have become very popular among the admirers of fine perfumery.
Earlier this month, Pissara Umavijani has received the FIFI Award for Breakthrough Fragrance for her perfume Erewan.
But today I would like to review La Douceur de Siam Parfums Dusita, the fragrance that, as for me, also deserves all awards.
Parfums Dusita
The founder and perfumer of Parfums Dusita Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand. Her passion and love to fragrances and to the creature of them brought Pissara in 2011 in Paris.
There she continued to learn the science of perfumery and worked on her first perfume collection together with the leading fragrance production house in Grasse.
Finally, in 2015 the new perfume house Parfums Dusita has been officially launched.
The mission of the fragrance house Parfums Dusita is to create the unique perfumes, which will pay tribute to the traditions of French Haute Parfumerie and to Siamese heritage.
Dusita’s exclusive collection of Extraits de Parfum is dedicated to the poetry of Montri Umavijani, the father of Pissara and one of Thailand’s leading modern poets.
His words and her scents create the fascinating universe of Parfums Dusita, full of emotions, feelings, and beauty.
Perfume review of La Douceur de Siam Parfums Dusita
La Douceur de Siam that is translated from French as the softness or sweetness of Siam, is very beautiful and elegant floral-oriental perfume. This fragrance is about the rose, surrounded by delightful floral, spicy and woody notes.
La Douceur de Siam opens with the tender but at the same time dense floral scent. Rose gives its fresh, soft and magnificent aroma, while frangipani gives its unique floral-fruity scent with sweet and spicy undertones.
The note of champaca makes this duo of flowers even more alluring, because of its deep, sweet and tantalizing floral scent.
Ylang-Ylang gives its beautiful and heady aroma, that is framed by the spicy note of cloves.
Despite the number of deep floral notes, La Douceur de Siam has very soft and not to heavy sound. The note of violet leaf makes all composition fresher and gives its grassy scent with slightly floral accents.
Sandalwood, vanilla and amber notes create a fascinating and very seductive trio. Sandalwood gives its exciting creamy scent, while amber makes this perfume warm and sensual.
Vanilla in the base of La Douceur de Siam gives its very pleasant and delightful sweet scent, that is by the way not too loud and sugary.
The sweetness of this perfume is tender, enveloping and a little transparent, that makes La Douceur de Siam Parfums Dusita the perfect floral-oriental perfume even for those who do not like very saturated fragrances.
