Nakuna Helsinki is a luxury perfume brand from Finland founded in 2019 by Anu Igoni and Jaakko Veijola to bring some light and harmony into the cold and darkness of the Finnish winter months.

This desire to escape from the bleak and cold winter days and nights was also reflected in the name of the brand «nakuna», which means «naked» in Finnish.

In today’s review of Nakuna Helsinki, I’ll tell you about its five unisex fragrances, developed in collaboration with the world’s leading perfumers by Givaudan.

The official launch of this perfume brand takes place at the Esxense Expo 2020 in Milan.

Review of Nakuna Helsinki Fragrances

Nakuna Iho

Iho is a very sensual and sophisticated perfume inspired by the peculiar nature of the Nordic people, who represent the mix of shyness and boldness.

This perfume features an enveloping blend of cedarwood, guaiac wood, and sandalwood with the warm and balsamic facets of amber and olibanum.

The duo of benzoin and vanilla adds to Nakuna Iho a light sweetness that nevertheless is tempting like the will to bathe naked with total strangers.

Notes: Cedarwood, Olibanum, Guaiac Wood, Sandalwood, Amber, Benzoin, Vanilla.

Nakuna Avanto

Avanto is a subtle yet refreshing perfume that inspires you to make a hole to the surface of the ice and take a plunge to the cold water.

This fragrance captures the delightful freshness of marine accord complemented by the citrus, floral, and green accents.

The notes of cedarwood and musk, in turn, bring Avanto the feeling of sensual depth and harmony.

Notes: Citrus, Marine Accords, Green Grass, Tea Rose, White Flowers, Cedarwood, Musk.

Nakuna Mittumaari

Mittumaari is an enjoyable floral fragrance dedicated to Midsummer Night’s fest or Mittumaari in Finnish, the ultimate celebration of summer and an escape from winter.

This perfume features a gorgeous blend of heliotrope and violet that, together with other flowers and musk, recreate the scent of the most refined powder or body cream.

In return, the duo of sandalwood and vanilla brings Mittumaari its delightfully milky sweetness.

Notes: Bergamot, Violet Leaves, Pink Pepper, Rose, Violet, Ylang-Ylang, Heliotrope, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla.

Nakuna Ralli

Ralli is a bold and sensual floral-oriental perfume inspired by Finnish rally drivers from the past and the way they lived their lives.

In this fragrance, a voluptuous note of rose is beautifully wrapped in the expressive woody accord featuring cedarwood, sandalwood, and oud.

The note of vanilla adds to Ralli a subtle sweetness, while the duo of musk and amber makes this perfume deeper and more alluring.

Notes: Rose, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Oud Wood, Vanilla, Amber, Musk.

Nakuna Musta

Musta is an intriguing and slightly melancholic fragrance that epitomizes the bittersweet state of mind of the Nordic people.

This perfume captures the mysteriously balsamic blend of incense and coal tar complemented by the leathery and spicy nuances.

Meanwhile, the enticing oriental accord featuring amber and vanilla brings Musta its warm and deeply sensual character.

Notes: Spices, Leather, Incense, Coal Tar, Amber, Vanilla, Oriental Accord.
